Our Town : Our Town is Muthupettai Originally it belonged to Thanjavur District and now its district head quarter is at Tiruvarur. It is bounded East by Koriyar River, West by Pomaniyar and south by forest and sea. This forest and sea has unique features. The two rivers of this town join together in the midst of forest and flows into the sea. The sea is also some what different and it has no sand shore but spread over thousands of acres with muddy shallow water with plants and trees. It is a biosphere of hundred of species. The lagoon and trees in the shallow water only protected this town from the hits of Tsunami.
